Why Trauma-Informed?

In today’s fast-paced work environment’s stress and burnout are all too common. Our trauma-informed approach is accessible and ensures that every session is delivered with sensitivity, safety, compassion, and inclusivity at its core – so participants feel supported and empowered.

Awaken the Light Retreat

Brigid, Spirit of Kildare Festival.

In partnership with Kildare County Council, The quest Yoga led a full-day healing retreat as part of the Brigid, Spirit of Kildare Festival. This event blended gentle Yoga, breathwork and reflective practices to honour Brigid’s legacy of healing, light, and renewal.

“I really enjoyed the Awaken the Light retreat yesterday. It was the most gentle yoga practice I’ve ever had( and I’ve done many!) an invitation to truly listen to my body and my needs.
With Tara’s kind and peaceful voice, I found myself trusting more and tuning into my inner wisdom. Tara has amazing energy and made a point of connecting with each participant personally, ensuring we all got the most out of the retreat. Thank you, Tara, for guiding us inward, planting seeds of intention and care, and reminding us to make space for ourselves. I’ll carry your beautiful energy into the weeks ahead.”

Her Outdoors Festival – Guest Teacher

Collaboration with Kildare Sports Partnership

As part of the national Her Outdoors Week, Kildare Sports Partnership invited me to lead a trauma informed yoga session in an outdoor setting. The session supported attendees in connecting with their bodies and their breath in a safe, empowering space.

Elevate - International Women's Day Retreat

Collaboration with Kildare Sports Partnership

To celebrate International Women’s Day, I partnered again with Kildare sports partnership to host Elevate – a morning retreat themed Empowerment, restoration, and connection.
The session focused on self-care, inner strength and community offering a nurturing and supportive experience for all who attended.

“Having worked with Tara on numerous occasions, I have found her professionalism to be outstanding. From initial meetings to programme delivery, she is exceptional at every aspect of her work.

Not only did Tara deliver a meaningful trauma-informed programme, she also offered invaluable advice to help to ensure the best possible experience for all participants. Her people skills are second to none – she has a unique ability to instantly connect with individuals and hold their attention with care, warmth, and confidence.

From start to finish, every interaction was marked by thoughtfulness and efficiency right down to the smallest of touches. Her attention to detail benefited both our organisation and the participants she worked with. We look forward to continuing our work together.”

International Women’s Day Retreat

ACDAL – Allenwood Community Development Association.

In Collaboration with ACDAL, I delivered a trauma-informed yoga retreat experience as part of the Accelerate Action initiative. A community-focused event designed to empower, restore, and connect participants through gentle movement, breath, and rest.

It was an honour to hold space for the ACDAL community in such a meaningful way.

“In March, this year we partnered with Tara for an International Women’s Day event. The event included a morning yoga retreat dedicated to self-care, inner strength, and community bonding. Collaborating with Tara was an absolute pleasure – everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
It’s clear that Tara pours her heart and soul into her work as a trauma-informed yoga teacher and retreat host. She creates safe, thoughtful spaces and is always striving to deliver the best experience for her participants.
Tara is empathic, passionate and driven. I have no doubt she will continue to have a meaningful impact through here work.”

We were delighted to have Tara at our Lovestock festival this year, for a trauma informed yoga class.

This type of therapy was actually a new addition to our Lovestock therapy classes and workshops, and it was indeed a perfect refreshing start for our festival attendees on Sunday morning.

A big Thank you to Tara Thompson (The Quest Yoga), who excels at creating a welcoming, caring and joyful space for healing, especially for attendees who might be new at approaching mental health and well-being therapies.

A special mention as well for her communication skills as we arranged her session and promoted the event on social media.
